The clients for this project wanted to create an outdoor living and cooking area that would allow them to spend more time outside as a family on their wooded lot near Ashville, Ohio. The design includes a central seating island with a pergola providing shade, lighting and a fan. The main seating area is flanked by an outdoor kitchen with grill and pizza oven and a fire pit and seating nook. The seating areas are positioned to take advantage of views to the surrounding woods. The materials were selected to match the home, and blend with the surrounding landscapes. The plantings blend native and cultivated species to set the space apart, while tying it to the surrounding landscape.
